NordClip Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and NordClip ("we", "us") for using nordclip.com. By creating an account or starting a subscription, you accept them.

1. The service

NordClip turns long videos into short clips with captions. You upload a video or paste a link, and we use software and AI to transcribe it, pick moments and render clips. Features may change, but we will not remove a core feature of your plan during a period you have paid for.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18. Keep your details correct and your password secret. You are responsible for activity in your account.

3. Free trial

New accounts get a one-time free trial of 10 clips for 3 days, with no card needed. Trial clips carry a watermark. The trial never turns into a paid plan by itself. One trial per person or company.

4. Plans and payment

Subscriptions are monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices and what each plan includes are shown on the pricing page. Consumer prices include VAT. Payments are handled by our payment provider. If a payment fails or is reversed, new processing pauses until it is resolved. We will email you at least 30 days before a price change, which applies from your next renewal.

5. Clips

  • Each plan includes a number of clips a month. A clip is one finished short video made by NordClip.
  • Each video uses exactly the clips it makes, at most 30. A video that makes no clips uses none.
  • The most clips a video may make are reserved when it starts. When it finishes, the clips it did not make are returned.
  • If a job fails on our side and produces no clips, its clips are returned.
  • Unused clips do not roll over.
  • Deleting a processed video does not return its clips.
  • Fair-use limits apply to uploads, storage and retries to protect the service.

6. Cancelling

You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time in your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep your plan until the end of the paid period. Apart from the right of withdrawal and where the law says otherwise, we do not refund periods that have started.

7. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of starting it, without giving a reason. Your plan starts right away when you subscribe, so if you withdraw, you pay for the clips you have used: we refund the share of the price for the clips you have not used. If you have used all your clips, there is no refund. Use the "Withdraw from contract" button under Account > Plan or email [email protected]. You may use the model form below. We refund you within 14 days, to the payment method you used.

8. Your content

You keep all rights to your videos and clips. You confirm you have the rights and any permissions needed for every video you process, including videos added by link. You let us store and process your content only to provide NordClip to you. We do not use it to advertise or to train AI.

9. Storage and deletion

Videos and clips are deleted automatically 30 days after the job finishes. Download what you want to keep. You can delete your content or close your account at any time.

10. Acceptable use

Do not use NordClip for content you don't have the rights to, illegal content, content that harasses, defames or deceives people, or to attack, overload or get around the limits of the service. We may remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

11. Reporting content

To report content that infringes your rights or is illegal, email [email protected] or use the contact form at nordclip.com/contact. We review reports without undue delay and tell both sides what we decided. You can appeal a decision by replying to our message. This address is also our point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act. We communicate in Danish and English.

12. AI results

AI makes mistakes. Check your clips before publishing them. You are responsible for what you publish.

13. Availability and liability

We work to keep NordClip available but cannot promise it will always work without errors. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under mandatory consumer law. For business customers, NordClip is provided as is, and our liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control. These limits do not apply where liability cannot be limited by law.

14. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we stop the service, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and refund any unused prepaid period.

15. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that affects you negatively, we will email you at least 30 days before. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change applies.

16. Disputes

If you have a complaint, contact us first at [email protected]. As a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and you can bring a case in its courts. You can also get free help from the European Consumer Centre in your country.
